Account Closure
This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough on how to close your account using our system. Closing your account is a significant action that permanently deletes all data associated with your business. Please follow the instructions carefully to ensure you understand the process and consequences.
Preparing for Account Closure
Before initiating the account closure process, it’s crucial to consider the following:
- Data Backup: Ensure you have downloaded or backed up all necessary data from your account, as account closure will permanently erase all data.
- Team Access: If your business has multiple staff members, be aware that closing the account will revoke their access.
Initiating Account Closure
- Navigate to Account Closure section from the ‘Account’ page.
- Enter Account Email: Confirm your identity by entering the email associated with the account you wish to close. It must be the primary user’s email who originally signed up for the account on behalf of the business.
- Acknowledge Data Erasure: Read and understand the closure implications. You must acknowledge that closing this account will permanently erase all data for your business and cannot be reversed. Check the box to agree.
- Submit Closure Request: After acknowledging the data erasure statement, click the “Close Account” button to submit your account closure request.
Account Closure Confirmation
- Closure with 7 Days Grace Period: This option applies to accounts that are fully set up and active. When you request to close such an account, it will be marked for closure but will not be immediately closed. This 7-day grace period is provided to give you ample time to reconsider your decision or to manage any outstanding matters related to your account.
- Immediate Closure: If your account hasn’t completed the initial setup, you can proceed with immediate closure.
Cancellation of Account Closure
- Cancellation Option: If your account is marked for closure but not yet closed, you have the option to cancel the closure request.
- How to Cancel: Click the “Cancel Account Closure” button to keep your account active. This must be done before the closure period ends.
Final Step
- Closure Confirmation: Once your account is closed, you will receive a confirmation alert. At this point, all data associated with your account will have been permanently deleted.
